DFC recently partnered with the Yellow Ribbon Fund to host an ice cream social at Walter Reed Medical Center as a way to say ‘thanks’ to those who have proudly served our country. During the event, DFC team members were able to serve and socialize with the hundreds of Veterans and families currently staying at Walter Reed.

The Yellow Ribbon Fund has several programs that support injured Veterans, Caregivers, and their families throughout the recovery process. The organization carries out its mission through a variety of events and services including a mentoring program to help Veterans prepare for their future while recovering, and social events, such as ice cream socials, which allow participating members to spread some cheer to patients and their loved ones.
