Throughout 2018, DFC achieved many corporate accomplishments, so we decided it was time to celebrate!

One highlight of this year was DFC’s Field Day! In August we headed out to a local park in Vienna for some team bonding activities. The park was set up with games like jumbo Jenga, tic-tac-toe, ring toss, and cornhole for everyone to enjoy. There was also some friendly competition going on from competing in kickball games, on a 50 ft. bounce house obstacle course, and ending the day with a photo finish relay race. The winners of the relay race were ecstatic over their victory and can’t wait to defend their title next year! To top off an active and fun afternoon in the sun, we enjoyed some delicious BBQ, and of course, a local ice cream truck for our employees to kick back and enjoy the end of the summer with their teammates.

Additionally, with the launch of our new wellness committee, Choosing Healthy and Mindful Practices (CHAMPS), we also started DFC’s own book club. The first book read was Crazy Rich Asians following the movie’s release, and the club loved getting together to discuss the differences they saw between them, and ultimately selecting their favorite version – the book!

DFC also takes the opportunity to celebrate smaller victories with happy hours at local bars and breweries! Whether it’s new employees joining the team, a recompete or option year win on a contract, the successful completion of a large deliverable, or even the gorgeous non-humid weather, employees love getting together to celebrate all of the hard work and accomplishments we have achieved together at DFC.

Last but not least, we hosted our annual Holiday Party to bring all of our employees and significant others together for a night of great food, exciting games and raffles, a photo booth, and lots of fun! This event is always a highlight for our employees, giving everyone a chance to get together after the holidays and celebrate our achievements over the last year.
