Duty First Consulting (DFC) launched our second annual Season of GIVEing through our Get Involved for Veterans (GIVE) program. GIVE hosted multiple events and opportunities for our staff to support Veterans this holiday season, and encouraged team members to GIVE back in their own way.

ThanksGIVEing

DFC’s Season of GIVEing kicked off with our ThanksGIVEing Winter Preparedness event where we collected donations to support the Southeastern Veteran’s Services Center in DC. This local DC shelter provides transitional and permanent housing for Veterans. The Veteran homelessness population declined by 5.4 percent from 2017 to 2018 so, our team wanted to continue to make a difference in the lives of Veterans by donating to this great cause.

DFC also “adopted” a military family through Operation Help a Hero (OHH) for the holidays by collecting and donating “wish list” gifts for the family. OHH supports military families as they prepare for the challenges of deployment and as they transition back to life after serving overseas. Not only did our team donate all items on the family’s wish list, DFC was also able to donate additional gifts and holiday cheer to our adopted family.

DFC appreciates all that our staff does to remember and honor those who served our country during the holiday season. We can’t wait to GIVE with you in 2019!
