Duty First Consulting is “revving its engines” for Veterans
Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! Duty First Consulting (DFC) is headed to NASCAR this weekend as part of its commitment to improve the lives of Veterans who have served our country. As part its work with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), DFC’s Strategic Communications and Integrated Marketing (SCIM) division organizes partnership engagement and outreach activities to reach Veterans at select NASCAR race tracks across the country.
The SCIM division is supporting the important mission of VA at Richmond Raceway’s Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR race in Richmond, Virginia on September 8-9th. VA is the Monster Energy Pole Day Sponsor on Friday, September 8th and will be onsite all weekend long providing direct support to Veterans and Service members as VA seeks to “bring VA benefits and services home” to Veterans. Throughout the race weekend, the SCIM division will be providing support to Veterans and VA during this hallmark outreach event.
DFC’s SCIM division negotiates partnership activities and provides logistical and promotional support on behalf of VA, which enables its VA Mobile Vet Centers to be on site for Veterans to access and learn more about the benefits and services they’ve earned. By reaching out to Veterans where they live, work and socialize, DFC’s SCIM division is working with VA to expand Veteran access to key benefits and services and improve their overall Veteran experience with VA.
Going the extra mile for Veterans
DFC is also taking its involvement at Richmond Raceway to another level this year – joining its charity partner, the Aleethia Foundation, on Saturday, September 9th at the race. Thirty Veterans, Service members, family members and caretakers will join DFC staff at Richmond Raceway to watch the “Last Race to Make the Chase” – a final chance for drivers to qualify for NASCAR’s end-of-season competition to determine the series champion.
Through this partnership, DFC is supporting one of Aleethia’s core missions of providing fun, social activities to its members to raise spirits and help provide a sense of normalcy as they transition from military life.
“This is set to be an intense competition under the lights and a race no one wants to miss, so DFC is proud to be able to share this experience with our Veterans,” said Terry Speegle, DFC President. “Whether it’s our daily work in support of VA and Veterans or our GIVE (Get Involved for Veterans) charity program, DFC works hard to honor members of our military who have served the country.”
