DFC President Addresses SDVOSB Council

The president of Duty First Consulting (DFC), Terry Speegle, served as a panelist at a dinner meeting tonight of the DC chapter of the Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Council. Joined by two other business executives who also run veteran-owned businesses, Mr. Speegle shared a range of lessons learned, pitfalls, and best practices gained from teaming with other businesses and from founding and growing his practice.

DFC is one of nearly 200 corporate members of the DC chapter of SDVOSB Council. The mission of the council is to advocate at the Federal, State, and local levels and to challenge agencies and corporations to meet or exceed SDVOSB goals defined in Executive Order 13360.  This order was signed by former President George W. Bush on Oct. 20, 2004, and directs all federal agencies to establish a goal of at least 3% of Federal contracting for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses.

Established in 2009, DFC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Vienna, VA., providing information technology and management consulting services to the Federal government and other commercial organizations.
